J. FRANK DAVIS EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY
As the church planting ministry of Baptist India expanded, our interaction with the communities in the various villages and towns showed the unavoidable need for schools, orphanages, Bible College, medical clinics and so on. As we continued to place the need before God in prayers, this need for social care had become inevitable and desperate with the everworst cyclone that took place in the year 1976, in Diviseema region of Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Frank Davis Educational Society is founded in the year 1984 after the severe cyclone that swallowed thousands of people, caused millions of loss. The society is named after Dr. J. Frank Davis, a church pastor from Texas, who was burdened and provided platform for the orphan home at first.
- Frank Davis orphan home (1983) – home for the orphans, street and homeless chilredn.
- Frank Davis orphan school (1985) – to bring up the orphans with biblical values, a school for orphan children is opened within the compound.
- Frank Davis Christian school (1998) – Having seen the values and standards of the school, the public demanded to open the scope for their children, and according a Christina school is started for the children in the town and surrounding villages.
- Leadership Development Project (2001) – The need for the secondary leadership to succeed the ministries is found important, and accordingly Frank Davis Educational Society and Baptist India Ministries jointly programmed this Leadership Development Project. Frank Davis Educational Society would financially sponsor the candidate this is forwarded by the Baptist India Ministries.
Frank Davis Educational Society is also the financial chapter of Baptist India Ministries and the following all the board members of the JFD Educational Society. Funds for activities come from our partners and friends in USA and also from the local churches and friends here in India.
